The Manifesto

“We watch movies” is not just the title of this blog, but also a brief, but eloquent statement of fundamental truth. We really do watch movies… a lot of movies… pretty much all the time. In fact, it is actually kind of ridiculous how much time and money (or at least bandwidth) we spend watching movies.

Oh sure, we do other things. There are several things that we do that do not involve watching movies. For one, many things that we watch are not movies. We watch baseball, for example. And some TV shows, like Iron Chef and Speed Racer. Sometimes when we are home alone, we watch marathons of Project Runway, but that is a secret. Hell, we do some things that don’t involve “watching.” We play Halo. We eat stuff. But most of the time we watch things, and most of the time, it’s a movie.

Anyway, the point is, that we watch movies and we write about them. Then you visit this site and read what we have written. What you will find might be a review, a rant, a recommendation, or a reaction. Whatever it is, you will be smarter after reading it, and hopefully also better-looking. That is our purpose and that is our promise. Enjoy.
